Midwinter appoints Head of Cyber Security

Financial services technology provider, Midwinter, has announced the appointment of Edward Li as head of cyber security, effective 24 July 2017.

Li will lead the team responsible for the upcoming launch of the firm's cyber security service, Kamino, designed for financial advisers and accountants.

He joins from Commonwealth Bank of Australia where he was most recently a penetration testing manager. Prior to this, he held a similar role with the Reserve Bank of Australia.

Commenting on his appointment at Midwinter, managing director, Julian Plummer, said: "We are delighted that Edward is joining us in this important role to enhance our services to accountants and advisers. Edward's role will be to design and roll out our initial go-to market offering to ensure we continue to provide excellent quality service to our growing client base."

He added: "Edward brings to Kamino, a wealth of experience in building and leading teams from his time at CBA and before that at RBA and RSA."

Kamino is expected to offer its full suite of services to the market in the later end of Q3.
