Metrics builds private credit profile with two investment directors

To help boost their expansion into private equity markets, Metrics Credit Partners has added two new investment directors to their roles.

Nicholas Thomas joins the organisation from Commonwealth Bank where he was the director of client solutions for non-bank institutions. Before that he spent 12 years with J.P. Morgan, finishing up as vice president of investment banking.

Thomas is joined by Julia Humphries.

Metrics Credit Partners managing director, Andrew Lockhart, said he was excited about how the appointments would support the company's growth into private credit markets. "As banks continue to face increasing regulatory pressure, they will no longer be the natural lenders to Australian corporates," said Lockhart. "This is where Metrics can help corporate borrowers and debt capital, as well as providing both wholesale and retail investors with stable and reliable sources of income."

Since 2013, Metrics has lent in excess of $7 billion in more than 250 transactions.
