Mercer investment consultant moves to Praemium

Elisha Cheah has moved from his role as an investment consultant with Mercer to fintech platform provider Praemium.

In a message to Industry Moves, Cheah says he wasn't looking to make a move - he'd only been with Mercer for just over a year and had been enjoying his time there. He says, however, that a good opportunity came available to work with a colleague from a previous job. "It was a tough decision to make."

In his new role, Cheah will be an investment research analyst for Praemium. Damian Cilmi, Head of Investment Managers and Governance, says they're excited to have Elisha on board. "He has a great combination of research, consulting and specific managed account experience which is very rare.

"Praemium is a specialist Separately Managed Account platform and our research team is heavily involved in the design and structuring of managed account solutions; therefore, we are very pleased to have someone as experienced as Elisha join our team, as he can immediately add value to our business."

Prior to Mercer, Cheah had spent more than 3 years with Netwealth as an investment research analyst, specialising in superannuation. He also is a chartered financial analyst as certified by CFA.
