MD succession at Resolution Capital

Specialist global real estate securities manager, Resolution Capital, has announced that Andrew Parsons will be stepping down as managing director, effective 1 January 2019, to focus on his core investment responsibilities as chief investment officer and portfolio manager.

Parsons, who is also an executive director and a founding member of the firm, has over 29 years' experience in global financial and property markets. Prior to founding Resolution Capital, he worked for the ASX, CS First Boston and Lend Lease, and is a past chair of the Property Council of Australia's capital markets committee.

His successor as managing director is investment specialist, Sonia Luton, who joined Resolution Capital in 2012 and was appointed as an executive director in 2017.

The firm said that the succession recognises "the increased scale and complexity of the business which now has Funds domiciled in Australia, Europe and most recently the US with the establishment of a Collective Investment Trust, as well as separate account mandates located in New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland and Australia."
