Manning joins Alphinity

Mary Manning has joined Alphinity Investment Management as a portfolio manager in the global equities fund management team.

Manning recently left Ellerston Capital where she had spent the last nine years. She's joined at Alphinity by Trent Masters.

In their new roles, Manning and Masters will look after the Alphinity Global Equity Fund as well as being involved in the Alphinity Global Sustainable Equity Fund.

"Trent and Mary bring a tremendous depth of experience and investment pedigree to Alphinity that will help reinforce and sustain the track record of excellence we have been able to establish and embed," said Alphinity Global portfolio manager Jonas Palmqvist. "Importantly, their complementary, diverse backgrounds bring new and alternative perspectives that will enrich discussions as we work through our well-established investment process."

Before manning joined Ellerston in 2012 she held several investing roles with Oaktree Capital and Soros Funds Management across New York and Singapore. She earned a PhD in economics from the University of Sydney and received her MBA from the Harvard Business School.
