Mamelok joins MLC Life

Lesley Mamelok, who spent the last year as the acting chief executive for Integrity Life, has been named general manager of finance and deputy chief financial officer with MLC Life Insurance.

Mamelok spent more than three years with Integrity Life, joining as CFO in 2017 and becoming acting CEO in March of last year. Former MLC Life Insurance chief life insurance officer Sean McCormack was named Integrity Life's new CEO earlier this year.

Before joining Integrity Life, Mamelok spent more than a decade with AMP in senior roles including CFO of AMP Bank and CFO of Advice and Banking. She also presently sits on the board of AMP Capital.

She's joined by Robert Ballie, who has become the GM of capital management and corporate finance for MLC Life. Both will report to CFO Kent Griffin, who said he's delighted to welcome both to the organisation. "They are talented individuals and have a wealth of experience in the life insurance industry, which will be invaluable in supporting our strategic direction," said Griffin. "We are bringing in the right expertise to help us navigate these challenges and continue to deliver on the promises we make to our customers and business partners."
