Macquarie Group has announced that Shemara Wikramanayake, current head of Macquarie Asset Management, will succeed Nicholas Moore as managing director and chief executive officer, effective 1 December 2018.
Shemara first joined Macquarie in 1987 and worked for Macquarie Capital for 20 years before being appointed to her current role in 2008.
She will also join the board of Macquarie Bank Limited.
