Macquarie investments' head resigns

Sam Le Cornu has confirmed to Industry Moves the recent media report of his resignation, this month, from the role of head of investments for Macquarie Investment Management's Asian listed equities team.

A spokesperson for Macquarie has confirmed that the team will now be managed by senior portfolio manager, John Bugg, who will also take over sole management of the Macquarie Asia New Stars fund which was previously co-managed by Le Cornu.

Prior to joining Macquarie in February 2008, Le Cornu spent two years as a portfolio manager with Paradice Investments. Before this, he was a portfolio manager, analyst, and partner at MMC Asset Management.
