Macquarie Bank appoints CEO

Macquarie Bank has promoted group treasurer Stuart Green to the role of managing director and CEO of Macquarie Bank. He replaces Mary Reemst, who is retiring following more than 22 years with the organisation.

Green began with Macquarie Bank nearly 20 years ago as an associate director with Macquarie Capital. He's held investor relations roles for Macquarie Airports and Macquarie Capital Funds and, in 2018, he was named executive director, head of communications and investor relations. He was appointed as group treasurer in 2013.

Green's appointment is pending regulatory approvals.

Macquarie made several other moves this week, including the departure of Martin Stanley as the head of Macquarie Asset Management and appointment of Ben Way as his replacement.
