Macquarie Group (Macquarie) has announced that Martin Stanley, current global head of Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), will be appointed group head of Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) and will join the executive committee.

In a statement, Macquarie said that MAM will now comprise MIRA and Macquarie Investment Management (MIM) and that Stanley, who is based in London, will continue to lead MIRA globally.

Stanley will succeed head of MAM, Shemara Wikramanayake, who will, as previously announced, succeed managing director and chief executive officer, Nicholas Moore.

Other announced changes include Ben Brazil stepping down as group head of Corporate and Asset Finance (CAF) Principal Finance, and from the executive committee, and moving into the role of CAF Principal Finance chair until mid-2019. He will be succeeded as group head, and on the executive committee, by Florian Heran, current co-head of CAF Principal Finance in EMEA.

Following these changes, which will take effect on 1 December 2018, the Macquarie Group executive committee "will include representatives based in all regions", Macquarie said.
