Lonsec equities manager moves to Zenith

Lonsec's deputy head of active manager research and manager of Australian equities, Shailesh Jain, has moved to Zenith to take the position of senior investment consultant.

In his new role, Jain will be responsible for a number of the group's client and platform relationships.

Zenith head of consulting Steven Tang said Jain's appointment is part of a strategic move to improve service delivery to advisers. "Being able to closely track and quickly communicate financial market changes and fund manager insights to advisers, let alone support them to make timely and necessary changes to their managed account portfolios over recent months, has been critical for their service to clients.

"Expanding our team into this growing segment of the market is important for our ongoing service commitment to advisers and their clients."

Jain spent more than 11 years with Lonsec, starting as a senior investment analyst in 2009. He became head of Australian equities fund research in 2018 and took on active manager research earlier this year.

Jain is joined at Zenith by Calvin Richardson and Martin Kofoedas as investment consultants.
