Lonsdale chief executive to depart

Lonsdale chief executive officer Mark Stephen is set to depart the organisation at the end of this month.

Stephen shared his decision to leave the organisation on his LinkedIn page, writing, "I have chosen to seek out new challenges & career pathway, so I bid Lonsdale a fond farewell. I am immensely grateful to our team of talented & passionate staff members over this period & most importantly, to the advisers & business principals, with whom I have been humbled by their dedication, loyalty & drive in creating a high-performance culture.

"I bid everyone close to me an enormous & heart-felt thank you."

Stephen's future was left up-in-the-air following the decision by IOOF to reorganise leadership of Lonsdale, Millennium3, and IOOF Alliances.

Stephen joined Lonsec as GM of Associate Services in 2010 from Bridges Financial Services where he was head of practice development. He also spent time with Australian Unity and AMP Financial Services.
