Former Willis Towers Watson (WTW) senior investment specialist Alex O'Dea has joined Lighthouse Infrastructure Management Limited as Investment Director.

O'Dea spent more than 16 years with WTW, including time on the Australian investments business leadership team. She also has experience with Frontier Advisors and, most recently, with the Lord Mayor's Charitable Foundation as an independent investment committee member.

She said she was delighted to join Lighthouse. "The extensive experience and knowledge of infrastructure investment management across the senior members of the Lighthouse team, combined with an authentic focus on identifying investments which are genuinely sustainable and profitable, represents a very compelling and unique proposition for institutional investors."

O'Dea says that ESG is something an increasing number of people are looking for and something she wants to be able to deliver in this new role for Lighthouse. "Increasingly investors are looking to identify differentiated investment opportunities, which deliver competitive risk-adjusted returns AND satisfy their ESG investment requirements.

"Lighthouse is well positioned to assist investors to meet these dual goals by providing opportunities to invest in high quality renewable energy and social infrastructure assets, including a growing portfolio of specialist disability accommodation assets, which is providing new, purpose-built housing for many Australians with disabilities."

Lighthouse is a specialist sustainable infrastructure fund manager, based in Melbourne. They have nearly $500 million FUM across two investment products, Lighthouse Solar Fund and Lighthouse Infrastructure Fund Trust.
