Link Group has announced the appointment of Dee McGrath as chief executive officer of Link Fund Administration, effective 3 June 2019.

McGrath joins from IBM, where she most recently held the role of managing partner, global business services, responsible for the strategy, client relationships and business performance of IBM's consulting and professional services business in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this, she held senior roles at Visa, Hewlett Packard and NAB.

Commenting on her appointment, Link Group managing director John McMurtrie said: "I am delighted to announce that Dee McGrath is joining Link Group. Ms McGrath is a high calibre executive and her extensive experience in both relationship management and delivering strategic projects will be invaluable to our clients and their members and employers."

He added that McGrath "will reinvigorate" the firm's approach to client engagement.

McGrath replaces Suzanne Holden, who stepped down in August 2018 after leading the fund administration business for three and a half years. McMurtrie has acted in the role since Holden's departure.

McGrath's appointment follows the news in March that Paul Gardiner would lead Link Group's new operations, technology & innovation (OT&I) team and that Nigel McCammon would serve as the team's chief operations officer for the Asia Pacific.
