Local Government Super (LGS) has announced the appointment of Brett Dolling as the $11 billion fund's chief experience officer, effective 17 December 2018.

In this role, reporting to LGS' CEO David Smith, Dolling will be responsible for "enhancing the member experience; leading the different teams across the organisation that directly serve LGS members including financial planning, client relationships and the in-house member contact centre," the fund said.

Commenting on Dolling's appointment, Smith said: "For the past seven years, Brett has been the general manager of client engagement with MTAA Super. Brett comes to LGS with fantastic industry super experience and a track record of building up an industry fund through challenging but opportunistic times."

Dolling will join fellow new-recruit, Daniel Musson, who commenced with the fund on 19 November 2018 in the newly-created role of chief of people and transformation.

Smith said that "it's an exciting time for LGS" and that he's "delighted to welcome Daniel and Brett to the executive team" as the fund embarks on the next phase of development.

A spokesperson for MTAA Super confirmed that the fund is seeking a replacement for Dolling.
