LGIAsuper makes internal COO appointment

LGIAsuper has confirmed the appointment of Eleanor Noonan as the $12 billion fund's new chief operating officer.

Noonan succeeds Timothy Wilmington, who departed the fund on 27 July 2018 after three decades of service, including 12 years as COO.

Noonan first joined LGIAsuper in 2015 as head of human resources before being promoted to the role of chief of people and culture on the fund's executive team in November 2017.

A spokesperson for the fund confirmed that Noonan will absorb the responsibilities of her previous role within the role of COO and will now have responsibility for "optimising technology-enabled superannuation administration services and insurance and claims management for members and employers". She will also be responsible for organisational health and performance, and training, technical and quality assurance.
