Janus Henderson Investors appoints US head of equity research

Matthew Peron will join Janus Henderson Investors in Denver later this month as director of centralized equity research, taking over from Carmel Wellso who will be taking a sabbatical from the firm. Wellso first joined Janus Henderson in 2007.

Peron was most recently CIO of City National Rochdale in New York.

In his new role, Peron will look after the firm's centralized equity research and will be portfolio manager on research strategies.

"We believe [Peron's] extensive investment and leadership experience will complement our risk-adjusted return driven investment philosophy, help ensure a seamless transition and support the team to continue delivering valuable investment performance on behalf of our clients," said George Maris, co-head of equities for Janus Henderson Investors.
