Janus Henderson appoints Co-Head of Australian fixed interest

Janus Henderson has announced that portfolio manager, Jay Sivapalan, has been promoted to co-head of the firm's Australian fixed interest team.

Commenting on his appointment, Glenn Feben, head of Australian fixed interest, said: "Jay has been an important member of the Australian Fixed interest team for over 17 years and has worked alongside me over that period. Jay's portfolio management responsibilities have increased over time, and this appointment recognises the natural progression of Jay as leader of the team."

In his new role, Sivapalan will continue to focus on investment strategy and the day-to-day management of the firm's Australian fixed interest funds and mandates, including the flagship, Janus Henderson Tactical Income Fund.

In other changes, dealer and fixed interest analyst, Taf Mugwagwa, will be stepping into a newly-created role as assistant portfolio manager, expanding his responsibilities to include co-managing the Janus Henderson Cash Fund with Sivapalan.
