J.P. Morgan promotes co-heads of investment banking

Simon Ranson will join Jabe Jerram as co-head of investment banking coverage for J.P. Morgan in Australia and New Zealand.

Ranson's appointment comes amidst an executive shuffle following the announcement that J.P. Morgan MD Andrew Best will retire after more than 30 years with the organisation.

Ranson has been the vice-chair of J.P. Morgan since 2015 and was previously the head of mergers in Citi's real estate investment banking arena. He held a similar role for more than six years with Merrill Lynch.
