J.P. Morgan country head to retire

J.P. Morgan Asset Management CEO and country head, Rachel Farrell, is set to retire later this year.

Farrell has been with J.P. Morgan for more than a decade beginning in Singapore as managing director. She relocated to Hong Kong in 2014 to become the organisation's head of Asia Pacific. She's been the Australian CEO since 2017.

In comments to Financial Standard, a spokesperson for J.P. Morgan Asset Management said, "We would like to thank Rachel for her leadership and contributions, including helping to significantly grow our Australia business.

"We wish her the best in the future."

Before joining J.P. Morgan, Farrell held several international roles with Citigroup including head of alternatives distribution for Citigroup Private Bank and MD of Citi Alternative Investments and Citi Capital Advisors. She also spent several years with Bankers Trust as Vice President of the International Private Bank and head of global portfolio management.
