Iress group executive steps back

Iress group executive for product Aaron Knowles will step down from his executive responsibilities later this year, continuing in a non-executive role.

CEO Andrew Walsh said, "Aaron has expressed a desire to step aside from his current executive role so that he can achieve greater balance in his professional and family life. Aaron also wishes to remain with Iress in a non-executive role, which will be finalised in the coming months."

Walsh said he was glad to accommodate Knowles' request. "I commend Aaron for his decision to balance his family priorities in this way and I'm delighted we will continue to benefit from Aaron's skills and knowledge within Iress.

"In his current role, Aaron has overseen significant improvements within product in both capability and innovation."

Knowles will continue in his current role until August, when he will take a sabbatical before returning to the organisation in the new year. An internal and external search for a replacement is underway.

Knowles joined Iress more than 13 years ago and was named product chief in early 2016. He also has experience with AXA and Xplan.
