AMP Capital has confirmed the retirement of Jeff Rogers, chief investment officer (CIO) of ipac Securities (ipac), effective January 2019.

Rogers, who has been responsible for managing the strategic direction of the ipac suite of funds for 12 years, joined AMP Capital in 2011 following AMP Ltd's merger with AXA Asia Pacific.

Since then, he has played a "key role in developing AMP Capital's goals-based fund range, having co-designed the Income Generator and Premium Growth funds and contributed to the successful positioning of its range of retirement solutions," AMP Capital said.

In acknowledging his contribution, AMP Capital's global head of public markets, Simon Warner, added: "Jeff is an outstanding thought leader. His relentless focus on delivering the best outcomes for customers showcases the very best of AMP Capital ... I'd like to personally thank Jeff for his incredible contribution to our business as CIO of the ipac funds over the years. It has been a privilege to work with him."

Stephen Flegg, who has served as portfolio manager of the ipac funds since 2017, will now assume Rogers' responsibilities. Rogers will continue to work with AMP Capital as a consultant.
