IOOF has announced the appointment of David Flynn as its new head of advice governance.
Flynn has experience in leading regulatory and remediation programs, and leading cross-functional teams through transformational growth, IOOF said. Previously, he has held roles at ANZ, van Eyk, ING Australia, Zurich and most recently BT Financial Group, where he was program director for Westpac Group's structured advice remediation program.
Commenting on his appointment, IOOF general manager advice Darren Whereat said: "We're very excited to have David join the team. With his deep understanding of the regulatory and professional requirements for the industry, strong focus on governance, and extensive experience leading large teams, he will be a great addition to our Advice business".
Flynn will commence with IOOF on 29 April 2019 and will be based in Sydney.
