AMP Life has named Greg Bird as their new chief investment officer and chief actuary.
Bird has been with AMP in Australia and New Zealand for the better part of 20 years, the last three as group chief actuary.
Jeff Brunton previously held the chief investment role at AMP Life; he will become AMP Life's deputy chief investment officer.
The sale of AMP Life to Resolution Life was set to be completed in late 2019 however it was delayed by concerns from the New Zealand central bank. Those objections have been resolved and the sale expected to be completed at the end of this month.
Megan Beer will continue on in her role as AMP Life chief executive, a spokesperson confirmed to Financial Standard.
