The chief executive of property manager Investa has stepped down from his position. Jonathan Callaghan has been with Investa for more than 14 years, the last five as chief executive officer. He became managing director in 2014 and was previously the group executive for corporate development and general counsel.

Callaghan started his career as a solicitor with Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Gilbert + Tobin.

Investa's board has announced that current chief investment officer Peter Menegazzo will become the new chief executive.

"I would like to thank Jonathan for his significant leadership and contribution to this business over the last 14 years," said Menegazzo. "Having worked alongside him over much of this period, he has been instrumental in transitioning this business through significant change and the achievement of many milestones. He leaves the business in a strong position for the future."

Said Callaghan, "It has been a privilege to lead this company and work alongside many talented and dedicated people. I wish Peter all the best in his new role as CEO and am confident Investa will achieve further success under his leadership."

50% of Investa's management platform was purchased by global real estate firm Oxford Properties in late 2020.
