ING information chief has Westpac, Qantas experience

ING has appointed Linda Da Silva as their new chief information officer.

Da Silva moves from Westpac where she held a similar role for BT Financial Group. She had been with the organisation for more than 11 years.

Before joining Westpac, Da Silva held senior positions at Oracle in Hong Kong, with Ernst and Young in Malaysia, and Qantas in Sydney.

ING Australia CEO, Uday Sareen, says the appointment comes at a good time for ING. "I welcome Linda to the team. She has the experience and skills to help accelerate our digital transformation and further differentiate our offering to customers."

Da Silva takes over the role from Ani Paul, who has been promoted to IGN's global chief data officer, based in Amsterdam.
