Industry veteran joins Equip board

Equip has announced the appointment of Lisbeth Rasmussen as a member director on the board of the $14.5 billion super fund.

Rasmussen, who has over 30 years' super industry experience, specialises in investment strategy and risk mitigation and was previously the chief investment officer and head of strategy at SAS Trustee Corporation.

Joining Rasmussen on the Equip board is fellow new member director, Penny Davy-Whyte. Both will commence their three-year terms on 1 July 2018 and will replace former member directors, Pippa Leary and Jane Simon.

Commenting on their appointments, Equip chair, Andrew Fairley said: "Penny and Lisbeth bring a terrific depth of experience to further enhance the skills based Board that underpins Equip's success. On behalf of our Board I'd like to welcome them."

In acknowledging their predecessors, Fairley added: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank Pippa and Jane for their commitment, support and wisdom as valued members of the Board."

The Equip board is comprised of three member directors, three employer directors, and three independent directors.
