COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA
Date: November 2018
Position: Director - Independent

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia has announced that independent director, Brian Long, will step down from the bank's board at the conclusion of its AGM, effective November 2018.

His departure comes as part of the bank's board renewal, which will also see the departure of Andrew Mohl, who has served as an independent director with CBA for 10 years.

Long was first appointed as a director of the CBA board eight years ago and spent seven of those as chair of the bank's audit committee. He retired as a partner of Ernst & Young in June 2010 and until that time was chair of both the Ernst & Young Global Advisory Council and the Oceania Area Advisory Council.

Commenting on the departures, CBA chair, Catherine Livingstone, said: "I would like to thank both Andrew and Brian for their many years of service on the Board. Their expertise and insights have been invaluable to the Board's deliberations over a number of years."

CBA has appointed Anne Templeman-Jones as an independent director, effective immediately.
