Independent Director departs NESS Super

NESS Super has confirmed to Industry Moves the departure of long-serving independent director John McCrory.

McCrory, a qualified accountant with experience in superannuation, employee benefits and compliance, served on the NESS Super board for 18 years before stepping down in March 2019.

During his time with the fund, he served as chair of the audit & compliance committee and as a member of both the investment and remuneration committees.

Commenting on his service, a spokesperson for the fund said: "John McCrory has made an invaluable contribution to NESS Super and its members over a long period. His wisdom and guidance as an independent director on a range of issues has been greatly valued."

He has been replaced by new independent director Paul Lahiff.
