IML creates new CEO role
Investors Mutual Limited (IML) has appointed Damon Hambly to the newly created role of chief executive officer.
Hambly was previously chief executive officer at Natixis Investment Managers, a shareholder in IML. He has also been an executive director at IML since January 2020.
Natixis acquired a majority ownership stake of 51.9 per cent in IML in 2017.
A spokesperson for IML said the creation of the CEO role was a natural progression for the firm, which is looking to distribute and develop new investment strategies and products from Natixis Investment Managers affiliates.
"Damon’s appointment enables Anton Tagliaferro, who will remain as investment director with oversight of all IML’s investment activities, to focus more on the investment side of the business," the spokesperson said.
Tagliaferro founded IML in 1998.
