IAG announces restructure, appoints CFO

IAG has taken acting out of the title of its acting chief financial officer.

Michelle McPherson has been in the role since April. "I'm pleased to officially appoint Michelle as CFO after six months acting in the role during an exceptionally challenging period. Michelle has more than 30 years' finance experience across multiple industries and I look forward to her ongoing contribution," said IAG managing director and CEO Nick Hawkins.

Hawkins previously held the role and became MD and CEO today. Among his first actions was a restructure of the Australian operations that will see a split in the direct and intermediary businesses and departure of Australian CEO Mark Milliner.

McPherson was previously the CFO and deputy CEO at nib Group for more than 17 years. Before that, she held various roles in finance and operations with Caltex Australia.
