GSFM appoints Investment Consultant

Grant Samuel Funds Management (GSFM) has announced the appointment of Stephen Miller to the newly-created role of investment consultant, effective 5 February 2018. Miller will be based in Sydney and report to CEO Damien McIntyre.

Miller was previously managing director, head of fixed income with BlackRock Investment Management (Australia), a position he held for 14 years. Prior to this he spent 14 years as executive vice president, head of fixed income at Bankers Trust in Sydney and New York, and six years as a research officer with The Treasury.

In his new role, Miller will be assisting GSFM "accelerate its positioning" of Payden & Rygel - a Los Angeles based independent investment management firm - and the various fixed income strategies in the institutional and retail markets. He will also assist McIntyre and executive chair Andrew McKinnon as they add more partners to the GSFM fund manager line-up.

Commenting on Miller's appointment, McIntyre said: "Steve brings over 30 years' experience in international economic and policy analysis to the GSFM team...
