Catherine McCormack is set to join Jarden Australia as managing director and head of natural resources and utilities.

McCormack has nearly 15 years of experience in investment banking, most recently as managing director at Goldman Sachs in New York. She started her career with the firm in Sydney in 2006.

During her time with the investment banking giant, McCormack has worked across a number of sectors including natural resources and industrials including chemicals and infrastructure.

In her new role, the organisation says McCormack will build out the Jarden Australia infrastructure team.

McCormack is the latest appointment in the expansion of the New Zealand-based investment and advisory firm. Last month more than 10 research positions were announced including Ben Gilbert as the firm's Australian head of research.
