GM, Portfolio Strategy and Risk resigns from HESTA

Gary Gabriel has resigned from his role as general manager, portfolio strategy and risk at industry super fund HESTA, effective May 2018.

In an announcement of several changes to the executive team, HESTA named Alvin Tan as Gabriel's replacement.

Gabriel was appointed to the role in August 2015, joining the super fund from Wilshire Associates where he spent four years as managing director and head of Asia Pacific. Before that, he was head of private markets at both UniSuper (till 2007) and Future Fund (till 2010).
