Gillies departs Hamilton Wealth Partners

Ian Gillies has departed the Victoria-based boutique private wealth management firm Hamilton Wealth Partners.

Gillies was a founding partner at Hamilton Wealth, which was created in 2013. He also served as the group's chief operating officer for the last several years.

Before his time with Hamilton, Gillies was the head of wealth planning at Credit Suisse and held a similar position with UBS.

In a note to clients, Hamilton managing partner Will Hamilton said, "I would like to recognise the considerable positive contribution Ian has made over his eight years with HWP - working closely with clients and our team to establish our services and brand from 2013 - and, in particular, delivering strong superannuation sector advice over the past decade.

"Together with our HWP Directors and Staff, Advisory Board, and the many clients with whom he has enjoyed working, I would like to wish Ian the very best for the future."
