FUTURE FUND MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Date: June 2018
Position: Head of Unlisted Infrastructure and Timberlands

The Future Fund has announced the appointment of James Fraser-Smith, former director of infrastructure and timberland, to the new role of head of unlisted infrastructure and timberlands.

The appointment is one of five new roles created for existing senior investment team members, as part of a restructure following the recent departure of head of property, Barry Brakey, and the appointment of two deputy chief investment officers, David George and Wendy Norris, in March 2018.

According to the Fund, the new structure is designed to "maintain the organisation's significant asset class expertise while providing additional scope for collaboration across teams and sectors."

Fraser-Smith, who first joined the Fund as director of infrastructure and timberland in February 2016, previously spent 11 years at Hastings Funds Management as director, infrastructure.

The other investment team changes include Craig Dandurand moving from director of debt and alternatives to head of debt, Stewart Tillyard moving from director of property to head of unlisted property, Sarah Carne moving from director of equities to head of listed tangible assets, and Ben Samild moving from director of debt and alternatives to head of alternatives.
