Future Fund appoints Head of Listed Tangible Assets following reshuffle

SARAH CARNE
Future Fund Management Agency - Head of Listed Tangible Assets
APPOINTMENT
FUTURE FUND MANAGEMENT AGENCY
Date: June 2018
Position: Head of Listed Tangible Assets

The Future Fund has announced the appointment of Sarah Carne, former director of equities, to the new role of head of listed tangible assets.

The appointment is one of five new roles created for existing senior investment team members, as part of a restructure following the recent departure of head of property, Barry Brakey, and the appointment of two deputy chief investment officers, David George and Wendy Norris, in March 2018.

According to the Fund, the new structure is designed to "maintain the organisation's significant asset class expertise while providing additional scope for collaboration across teams and sectors."

Carne, who first joined the fund in May 2008 as manager equities, previously worked at Frontier Advisors (then Frontier Investment Consulting) as a senior consultant and also held roles with Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu in Melbourne and New York.

The other investment team changes include Stewart Tillyard moving from director of property to head of unlisted property, James Fraser-Smith moving from director of infrastructure and timberland to head of unlisted infrastructure and timberlands, Craig Dandurand moving from director of debt and alternatives to head of debt, and Ben Samild moving from director of debt and alternatives to head of alternatives.
