The Future Fund has announced the appointment of Sue Brake as deputy chief investment officer, portfolio strategy, effective June 2019.
In this newly-created role, Brake will report to chief investment officer Dr Raphael Arndt and will lead the Future Fund's portfolio strategy function.
Commenting on her appointment, Dr Arndt said: "Sue is a widely respected investment professional and will make a fantastic addition to the Future Fund team. She has extensive experience in institutional investing, where she has had an impressive career specialising in governance and investment process design, portfolio construction and managing currency and derivative programs."
Brake has spent the past two years as a senior investment consultant at Willis Towers Watson, advising institutional clients on governance, organisational design, strategic asset allocation, and portfolio construction. Before this, she spent seven years at NZ Super, where she had responsibility for the fund's long-term investment strategy and the design and build of its investment portfolio.
