Funds SA CEO retires

Funds SA has announced the retirement of long-serving chief executive officer Richard Smith who departed the fund in January. Smith joined Funds SA initially as an investment manager, before being appointed CEO in 2006. His permanent replacement has been named as REST senior executive Jo Townsend who will commence as CEO in April. She will take over from Funds SA chief financial officer John Piteo who has been acting as CEO since January.
