Fund Manager appointed for Centuria Metropolitan REIT

Centuria Property Funds Ltd, the firm responsible for Centuria Capital's property investments, has announced the appointment of Grant Nichols as fund manager of the Centuria Metropolitan Real Estate Investment Trust (ASX: CMA).

Nichols, who has more than 16 years' experience in real estate and funds management, previously held roles across property management at AMP Capital Investors and asset management at Investa Property Group. He also served as fund manager of the Investa Diversified Office Fund and Investa Second Industrial Trust. Most recently, he was fund manager of the Australian Unity Office Fund and will be succeeded in that role by Australian Unity's head of commercial property, Mark Lumby.

Commenting on Nichol's appointment, Jason Huljich, Century Property Fund's head of real estate and funds management, said: "Following an extensive search, we are delighted that Grant Nichols has agreed to join us as fund manager of CMA. Grant's experience is highly aligned with the operating and strategic initiatives being executed to create value for CMA unitholders and we look forward to welcoming him on- board in January 2019."

Nichols will succeed Doug Hoskins who has been acting in the role and will resume a full-time focus as fund manager of the firm's unlisted real estate division.
