Frontier recruiting for head of alternatives and derivates strategies

Michael Sommers has departed Frontier after nearly eight years with the organisation.

Sommers was a principal consultant and head of alternatives and derivates strategies team, which includes global macro, multi-asset, and CTAs.

He joined the fund in 2013 from CIBC World Markets in London where he was the executive director for market risk management. He also held senior risk management roles with Lloyds Banking Group and the Bank of Scotland. He started his career in risk management with ANZ.

A spokesperson for Frontier confirmed Sommers' departure and said they are undergoing recruitment for his replacement.

Sommers' told Industry Moves that he has a new role lined up that he'll be able to disclose in the new year.
