Former Willis Towers Watson head appointed Rice Warner chief

Rice Warner has announced the appointment of Andrew Boal as its new chief executive officer.

Boal replaces Michael Rice, who, after 30 years' building and leading the business, has decided to step down to focus on working for a few key clients and on public policy initiatives, the firm said. Rice will continue as both an executive and board member with the firm.

Commenting on Boal's appointment, Rice said: "I have known and respected Andrew for many years. I am delighted that he has chosen to take this role. At a time of industry turmoil and rapid change, Rice Warner will be well positioned to continue to support our clients with Andrew at the helm."

Rice Warner chair Jane Paskin added that "Andrew's appointment has delivered a smooth succession plan."

Boal has over 30 years' experience in the financial services industry, most recently as head of Australasia at Willis Towers Watson. Before this, he served as the managing director of Towers Watson in Australia for 12 years, where he was also part of the firm's Asia Pacific leadership team and global marketing leadership team.
