Former Westpac Group CIO joins AMP Capital RE and Trustee boards

AMP Capital has announced changes to its main responsible entity and trustee boards, including the appointment of Bob McKinnon as an independent director and chair of the audit & risk committees.

McKinnon, who more than 40 years' experience in the financial services, property and technology sectors, is currently a director at Mirin Group, a boutique technology advisory firm operating across the Asia Pacific.

Previously, McKinnon served as group executive, technology and chief information officer of Westpac Group (2008 - 2011) and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (2000 - 2006). He also served as joint managing director and chief financial officer (CFO) of Brookfield Multiplex Group, chief executive of State Street Australia, chief general manager and CFO of MLC Group and CFO of Lend Lease Corporation.

Other changes to the main responsible entity and trustee boards include Ming Long's appointment as independent chair. Long replaces John Nesbitt who has, in turn, replaced Vanessa Wallace as chair of AMP Capital.
