Global fund manager IFM Investors has announced the appointment of Lounarda David to the newly-created role of chief operations officer, effective April 2018.
David joins IFM Investors from Sunsuper where she has spent four years as the $49 billion fund's chief investment operations officer. Previously, she was a partner at Mercer Investment Consulting and a vice president at State Street.
Commenting on her appointment, IFM Investors' chief executive, Brett Himbury, said: "[We are] delighted to have appointed a financial services executive of Ms. David's standing having amassed significant experience in a career spanning multiple jurisdictions, for more than 30 years, with an emphasis on placing clients at the centre of operational excellence."
He added: "Her knowledge and depth of experience embracing all facets of operations including investment reporting and analytics, operational due diligence, risk management and governance will be a significant asset to our growing global business."
