Former Sunsuper CEO to Chair Equity Trustees Super

Equity Trustees has announced the appointment of Tony Lally as chair of the Equity Trustees Superannuation Ltd board, replacing John Crocker.

Lally is currently chair of Self Wealth Ltd and previously served on the boards of the International Centre for Pensions Management (ICPM), the Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia (ASFA), Deutsche Asset Management and Commonwealth Life Ltd, among others. From 2007 to 2013, he was CEO of industry fund Sunsuper.

Commenting on his appointment, Equity Trustees managing director, Mick O'Brien, said: "Mr Lally brings excellent expertise and experience in areas including life insurance, funds management, strategy development, sales and marketing, financial management, superannuation, risk management and financial planning in Australia and internationally.
