Former Secretary to the Australian Treasury to join AMP board

AMP Limited has announced that John Fraser is expected to join its board in September 2018, subject to "preappointment processes".

Fraser, who has experience in leadership and senior executive roles in investment banking, asset management, and public policy, spent three years as secretary to the Australian Treasury before retiring from the role in July 2018. Previously, he served a decade as the London-based chair and CEO of UBS Global Asset Management and, before this, served as deputy secretary to the Australian Treasury after holding a number of other positions in Treasury over two decades.
