Former Schroder's CEO joins Perpetual board

Perpetual Ltd has announced the appointment of new independent director Greg Cooper, effective 11 September 2019.

Cooper has 26 years' global investment industry experience, predominantly gained from his executive career at Schroders, where he was chief executive officer from 2006 to 2019, with responsibility for Schroders' international client business across Asia Pacific and then globally.

Having previously worked in the UK, Asia and Australia, Cooper brings to the board "a deep understanding of international funds management and strong financial services and strategy expertise," Perpetual said.

Stepping down from the Perpetual board, effective 17 October 2019, is Philip Bullock and Sylvia Falzon.
