Position: Investment Strategist, Multi-Asset

Schroders has announced the appointment of Roland Winn to the newly-created, part-time role of investment strategist, multi-asset.

Winn was most recently manager of investment analysis and a senior investment strategist for the Guardians of New Zealand Super (NZ Super) before moving to Australia in 2017. Before this, he was portfolio manager for global equities at Hunter Hall, and head of research strategy for CP2 (formerly Capital Partners).

In his new role, Winn will focus primarily "on the provision of independent investment ideas for the team's portfolios and to help enhance existing processes," Schroders said.

Winn will be joined by fellow new-appointee, Sebastian Mullins, in the role of portfolio manager multi-asset. Both will report directly to head of fixed income and multi-asset, Simon Doyle.

Doyle said of their appointments: "Sebastian and Roland are highly capable investors with different experiences and investment expertise, which will help ensure we continue to challenge and develop our investment thinking. They're both enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of our Multi-Asset capability, and I look forward to working with them."
