Former ME Bank CEO joins SocietyOne board

Former ME Bank CEO Jamie McPhee has joined the board of payment fintech SocietyOne.

As an executive, McPhee held executive positions with a variety of baking organisations including Bendigo and Adelaide Bank. He left ME Bank in mid-2020 after more than a decade with the organisation. McPhee has also held board positions with RMIT University and the Melbourne Renegades in the BBL.

"SocietyOne is at an extraordinary time in its journey," said McPhee. "I am pleased to be joining the Board and having the opportunity to contribute to the next phase of the company's growth and development."

SocietyOne CEO Mark Jones welcomed both McPhee and Melanie Cochrane to the board. "Jamie and Melanie bring significant and relevant corporate experience to SocietyOne and equip us with capabilities that will help us sharpen our strategic focus and accelerate the momentum the business is enjoying."

Founded in 2012, SocietyOne has provided more than $1 billion in total lending and recently announced a partnership with Westpac 10x to deliver a transaction account product to its customers.
