Former JCP Executive Director joins Pinnacle distribution team

Pinnacle Investment Management has expanded its institutional distribution team with the appointment of Wes Campbell as director, distribution.

Campbell has over 20 years' investment management experience, most recently as executive director & head of business development at JCP Investment Partners, and previously as a senior portfolio manager with the firm.

Before joining JCP, Campbell spent 10 years as a portfolio manager and senior dealer at Jardine Fleming Capital Partners, part of JP Morgan Asset Management, and before that worked for Macquarie Group.

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Chambers, Pinnacle Investment Management, executive director, said: "I'm thrilled that a senior executive of Wes's talent and experience is joining our rapidly expanding multi-affiliate business."

He added that "rarely do you find a senior sales professional that has practitioner experience as a Portfolio Manager and Dealer" and that the "unique combination gives Wes a competitive edge." Chambers also said that Campbell's "boutique investment experience gives him a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by independent firms in commercialising their vision."

Campbell will commence in the Melbourne-based role on 14 October 2019.
